The Unseen Paradise of Calatagan, Batangas
featuring: Edna's Beach Family Camp
by Menchorista Traveloka
How will i start a blog about this crazy beautiful paradise at Calatagan Batangas. Thank God that He allow us to see His wonderful creation on Earth.
The plan:
It all started when my best friend ask me to have an out of town escapade to celebrate his Girlfriend's birthday on February 25, 2019. So i'm the most busy person of the day looking for some beach reviews located at Batangas Area. It happened that there are beach resorts that are too costly, so it is decided that we will proceed to Manuel Uy Beach, for it has a good reviews among bloggers besides it is not expensive to spend overnight in the area. In-line with this, there are no reservation at the Resort and you can come anytime.
The Preparation:
In able for us not to have a hassle time going at our destination, we already bought the things we will be needing and to save time so that the only ones we will buy at Calatagan Public market are the sea foods and other fruits.
Below are list we bring at our trip:
1. Portable emergency light (if you are going to conduct an overnight stay)
2. Tent ( if you don't have any they have tents for rent )
3. Beach sandals ( feet protection, there are sharp shells and stones at the beach)
4. Insect repellent lotion ( to avoid mosquito bites)
5. Sunscreen ( skin protection for UV rays)
6. Cooking Utensils ( uling, rice cooker, tongs, disposable plates and caps )
7. Beach Towels ( if you want to have picnic beside the shore )
The Trip:
We came from Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna and we will go to Calatagan via private vehicle. We are supposed to left home by 4:30am sharp of Feb.24, 2019, but it doesn't happen ( hahaha ), i woke up at exactly 4:30am so i had to hurry my preparation, I didn't go on shower, i just change my clothes lol 😂😂. We already left Calamba at exactly 5:01 am and my friends face are like this 😕 lol. It's probably a long drive, Calatagan is about 106 km from Calamba Laguna.
We took our breakfast at Mer-Ben Tapsilogan at Tagaytay City, the food there is delicious and the scenery is perfect with a rising sun and a cold wind that touches your skin. A must try.

Then , we drove again heading Nasugbu to Lian and then there we arrive at Calatagan Public Market at exactly 7:50 am. There we bought are viand for lunch and dinner ( pusit, tilapya at ang paboritong prutas sa summer ang pakwan 😁 ).
CALATAGAN PUBLIC MARKET |
From the Calatagan Public Market, it was just 6 km drive at about 10mins and we had reach the Manuel Uy Beach Resort, unfortunately it was over crowded by bakasyonista's from different places, for it was a long weekend. So unlucky not to have stayed at our proposed destination, lucky to discover new paradise that still has no reviews and that is Edna's Beach Family Camp. it was also a 10 minute drive from Manuel Uy Beach.
